You've got questions, we've got answers.

Here are a few of the questions we get the most.

Will we lose any employees?

No! K-12 Culinary Connection works with the current staff in your Child Nutrition department, showing them easier and different ways to meet the goals of the department and district.

How do you save us money?

By combining increased participation and Group Purchasing, K-12 Culinary Connection is able to save your district money and meet our goal of paying for our services.

How many options will we have?

Each district is different and options will depend on the size of the district and the efficiency of the cafeteria. K-12 Culinary Connection individualizes each decision to your district.

Will our CN Director lose all control?

No! Each CN Director is vital to the success of the program. K-12 Culinary Connection aims to make the job of the CN Director easier to maintain so they can focus on what is important – feeding our kids!

How does the Child Nutrition staff usually handle the change?

Change is hard for everyone. While this change does take time to get used to, the cafeteria staff will look towards their CN Director for guidance during the change. Normally after 2-3 months the cafeteria staff has adjusted well to the change and is seeing the rewards for their hard work.

What about equipment costs?

Most districts have very small equipment needs at the beginning of our partnership.

How does the roll-out look? Do you start at the first of the school year?

We will have a Grand Opening normally 3 weeks after school has started. This allows the cafeteria staff to adjust to the new school year, learn some of the recipes and get used to small changes slowly instead of big changes all at once.

What can we do, as a district, to ensure a smooth process?

The key for a successful change is to make sure your CN Director is on board with the change and your cafeteria staff feels supported!
